Buns and George...Boston and Washington

From New York, it was a very cheap bus ride up to Boston, as much the home of the bun as France is the home of the fries. Not too much in the way of photography here...but a great time was had...

Church reflection...

Back Bay area of Boston...very continental European looking...

Church at Harvard...

And so it was on to Washington DC...I am never sure whether or not to add the 'D.C.' part...as you may be aware, there is also a state in the USA called 'Washington'...its as far away from Washington DC as you can get on the American mainland being on the Pacific coastline in the north-west...but nonetheless I am not prepared to risk just one person misunderstanding which place I am referring to, so let's add the 'D.C.' for now...

For Australians, Washington DC is a mega-Canberra...full of memorials and monuments, national museums/galleries and politicians accompanied by their groupies...this is the Washington Monument in the centre of the National Mall...

My first taste of snow in the States...

Self explanatory...

United States Capitol...I was astounded by the sheer size of this building...

National Museum of the American Indian...

Korean War Memorial...

Arlington National Cemetery...burial place of military personnel, the Kennedy brothers and other notable American heroes...

World War II memorial...

Next stop: back to Europe...the Baltic States of Estonia and Latvia
